Exceptional training requires exceptional lecturers: people who have extensive knowledge in their fields, practical experience and who are also skilled presenters.
Many of our delegates are programmers with many years of experience, and some even have a Masters degree in Computer Science. We believe they deserve the best possible lecturer: not a junior who has no knowledge outside of the manual.
Our senior lecturers are all directors and shareholders of the company: people with a vested interest in the quality of the training we offer.
Renier van Wyk is the Managing
Director and founder member of Incus Data. He has been programming
in C since the early 1980s, and teaching it since 1988. His experience
in program development also includes C++, Visual Basic, MS Office,
Oracle, SQL Server, Pascal, Forth, Assembler, Modula 2 and, more
recently, the .Net Framework.
Renier is primarily responsible for the .NET courses: C#, VB.NET and ASP.NET, as well as C, C++, Linux and Perl.
Jacqui Coosner is the Director :
Operations. Originally qualified as an advocate, Jacqui spent a
number of years at the Office of the Attorney-General, Witwatersrand
and the Office for Serious Economic Offences, before moving into the
IT world in the mid-1990s. She has a Diploma in Datametrics with honours
from UNISA.
Jacqui focuses on the XML and web development courses, as well as the Project Management for IT course.
Lewis Coosner is the Director :
Training. An electrical engineer by profession, he has been involved
in software development since the 1980s. His experience in program
development includes C, C++, Fortran, Assembler, Pascal, Java, Basic
and Visual Basic. Lewis was one of the first two Java lecturers in
the country to be certified by Sun Microsystems.
Lewis is primarily responsible for the Java and OO courses we offer:
Java, JSP, J2EE, EJB, OO Analysis and OO Analysis and Design.. He also
presents C and C++ courses from time to time.
Of course, you don't have to take our word for this: read what our delegates have to say about our courses and lecturers.
